Many casino newcomers regard Blackjack with a certain amount of respect. Not without reason, because at first glance the professional dealers and experienced pros can seem intimidating. In Blackjack, the number 21 is the benchmark. If the first thing that comes to your mind is «Vingt et un» or «Twenty-One», then you are absolutely right, it is believed that Blackjack originated from these card games. The aim of Blackjack is to get with your cards closer to 21 than the dealer, but without exceeding it. To do this, depending on the starting cards, you have several options on how to increase your chance of winning.
If so, then start the Blackjack game of your choice, preferably in demo mode with play money. Please note that you can only play live Blackjack games with real money stakes. And now you are ready to play:
Depending on the value of the cards, you have the following options:
As soon as the hands are settled and your hand comes closer to 21 than the dealer's, but without exceeding it, you will automatically receive your winnings, otherwise your stake will be lost.
In Blackjack, cards are counted from 2 to 10 according to their value. The face cards Jack, Queen and King count as 10, while the Ace is counted as either 1 or 11. You have a Blackjack if your first two cards are an ace and a card of value 10.
If you win, you get a 1:1 payout, unless you have a Blackjack, in which case you get a 3:2 payout. With insurance, you collect a 2:1 payout.
Legend has it that casinos in America promised an additional bonus if the hand at Vingt et un consisted of an ace of spades and a jack. Black and Jack, or Blackjack for short. This was done to increase the popularity of the card game and the rest, as they say, is history.
